Bonus: The largest sculpture in the world

In 2013, this sculpture made its way into the Guinness World Records as the longest wooden sculpture. Chinese artist Zheng Chunhui transformed the trunk of a dead tree into a sculpture measuring 12 meters (40 feet) long, 3 meters (10 feet) high, and 2.5 meters (8 feet) wide.

The carving is based on the famous painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival (1085-1145), which portrays the daily life of people and the landscape of the city of Bianjing (today’s Kaifeng). The sculptor converted it all into wood to the finest detail. Check it out for yourselves.
